Have you read the instructions for controllers above? If not please do, and see if that solves your issue. If you still can't get it to work, please let me know what gamepad and browser you're using.
I am having an issue with views in GM:S1.4-HTML5 and I saw a GMC thread where you have it solved using surfaces but sadly the link you have pointing here is defunct.
Is there any chance you have an updated link for your instructions, please?
